I believe you can always share the message below with someone you know. I pray that God will help you to be an encouragement as you love people around you in all seasons.

Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

You might be facing a storm. But when you are well built on the firm foundation of Jesus, you will not be shaken. Let this be your encouragement to dig down deep with Him today.

He has promised that He will protect us from trouble, and He is a God who keeps His promises. He is our true and living fortress – our stronghold, our base camp. God has promised to fight our battles. God is on your side. God is willing to protect us from harm’s way. God will deliver us from our troubles and fears. God is our shield. Everything that is against His plan in our lives will be deflected away. We will always be kept safe in His arms. As long as we always keep ourselves close enough, within His arm’s reach.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you,” - Matthew 6:33. It is saying that we ought not place our confidence, our hopes, our focus on other things but God Himself. There is one who never fails. Who never disappoints. Who is rightly to be worshipped and honoured and exalted. Because only He can carry that burden & weight. And He is Jesus. When we place God in His rightful place in our lives, we will learn to love and serve most freely.

Both houses were built the same way. They faced the same circumstances. Rain. Flood. Wind. But one stood upright, and the other collapsed greatly. And all that differentiated them was the foundation that they were built upon.

Because we have unlimited wants and if they become our focus – our priority – instead of seeking God, it becomes dangerous and fragile. Even the tiniest of waves and storms would cause one house to become flat once again.

The other house stayed there, firm and strong, even though all the waves kept on coming at it from all sides. And that is what seeking God does.

So when we build our houses – a place where we dwell in, where we spend most time in, where we find safety and refuge, where we rest – upon the Rock, upon Jesus, we stand firm. Even amidst the churning waves. We can be sure even in uncertainties. We can be secure even in times of insecurity, hopeful when all hope is lost.

There is a song that goes:
Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
'Cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
He won't.

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:2)

Jesus invites us to build our house in our life upon Him each and every day and it’s never too late to rebuild… You are never too far gone for the love of Christ. Nothing is too big for God. Nothing is too far gone. A life that is fixed to the rock is a life that can weather the storms because they’re coming and God in His infinite love wants us to survive them.

He is our Creator, and He knows His creations best. He has the best plans in store for us already. He has the most perfect set of blueprints set out for us to build our houses as. He has already planned out, mapped out, in detail, of how we are to build the biggest, grandest, most magnificent house.

Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by His power that is working in us.

We can trust Him, His plan, His power and His heart. He is able. When God touches our pain, there’s purpose and revival is birthed out of it. I can tell you His power is real. I’ve seen His work in my own life. Day by day, He’s forming us into the likeness of Jesus. Beauty from ashes.

Nothing is too big for God. Nothing is too far gone. No circumstances. No situation. Not your past. Not even your present.

To the person who feels like your life is crumbling beneath your feet. You may feel like there is nowhere to take shelter. And your emotions may be drowning you. But friend, I want to remind you that Jesus is holding you close. Tighter than you realise. He’s shielding you. He’s healing you. You’re covered in His grace. It may not feel that way just yet, but you will come to find strength beneath your feet. A new foundation is being built. What the enemy tried to destroy, God has worked for your good. Rest in His love.

“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances.”
