By now, it's common knowledge that the K-pop sensation NCT127 has been lighting up the Korean entertainment scene for quite a while, and its members are nearing closer and closer to the age of 30. In South Korea, there's a law mandating all males to undergo 18-21 months of military training as they reach around 30. This particular rule has left a significant impact on the beloved fans of male K-pop idols across all generations, as they have to endure the absence of their beloved performers during their military service.
Among the NCT127 fanbase, rumors have arisen surrounding Taeyong and Taeil, both at the ages of 28 and 29, who are on the cusp of mandatory military training. Speculation suggests that this unfortunate event might occur as soon as their newly released album, "Fact Check", is finished with its promotions. This rumor is further supported by Doyoung, another member of NCT127, publicly releasing a handwritten message expressing, "For this album that could very well become our last whole group before the start of military enlistment."
As history repeats itself in the world of K-pop, fans can only hope that NCT127 will continue to thrive, even as two of its members go on hiatus for military service. To be fair, the concerns of fans aren't entirely unfounded, as many K-pop groups have disbanded due to inactivity during members' military service. NCT127 has consistently brought happy smiles and cheerful personalities to the stage during their cherished performances, and it would be a real shame if it were all to end too soon.
The NCT127 members' heartfelt efforts to create a special and unforgettable album for each other shine through unmistakably. Their rigorous promotion of the song "Fact Check" has led to the 'Fact Check' dance trending on various social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram. Furthermore, the album, featuring the title track "Fact Check" and eight other sidetracks, has won numerous awards, a memorable gift for Taeyong and Taeil in case they go on a break for military service.
