SM Entertainment is one of K-pop's biggest entertainment labels. It coloured Jakarta with pink-the company's signature colour-and hosted their concert titled "SMTown Live 2023".

The concert was held on Saturday on the 23rd of September at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium located in Central Jakarta.The concert sponsored by KB bank, coincided with Korean Week to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Korea. From seniors to rookies, SM idols stormed the stage with their slick moves and powerful vocals. The four hour long concert included 41 songs courtesy of 8 different artists. Some included were TVXQ, Super Junior, Red Velvet, Nct 127, Nct Dream, Wayv, Aespa and RIIZE.

It has been 11 long years since the last SMTown concert was held in Indonesia, the last notable one being in 2012. SMTown Live is a global concert that has been held yearly since 2008. However, as the unprecedented pandemic took over the world, the company decided to hold SMTown live online free for all to access. However, last year, the company held two SMTown concerts in Suwon and Tokyo. This was followed by a concert in Jakarta claiming it as its third stop since the pandemic.

Once it had resumed its offline stature, SMTown Live brought their concert to Jakarta, providing their showcase to the Gelora Bung Karno venue. The location contained at least 75,000 seats. Various fireworks and lightwork displayed showed the audience every inch of effort Dyandra Global put in the event.

The night’s highlight came when the artists performed their hit songs. Fans were screaming when songs such as TVXQ’s “Mirotic”, Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry”,Red Velvet’s “Psycho”, Nct 127’s “Kick it”, WayV’s “Love Talk”, Nct Dream’s “ Hot Sauce” and Aespa’s “Next Level” were performed.

The company's rookie boy group, RIIZE, who debuted on September 4 also celebrated their first live gig. They celebrated their night by playing their single titled "Get a Guitar".

Additionally there was also a special collaboration stage.It was a cooperation between NCT’s Hendery, Jeno, Taeyong and YangYang and Aespa’s Giselle, who worked together to perform “ZOO”. Marking their finale, all the artists came on stage together to sing their company’s song “Hope”, holding hands and interacting with fans.
